Details:
Rohingya refugees form their own communities living as stateless individuals in various Asian countries. This workshop will explore how Rohingya refugees conduct their own education. The discussion will specifically focus on cases in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Due to their marginalized status and lack of access to public education, Rohingya communities must build trust with others to create educational opportunities. They rely on relationships with groups such as Muslims, international organizations, local governments, and NGOs, leveraging historically constructed networks and information technologies. The main purpose of this workshop is to examine the actual state of education within the communities of Rohingya refugees, which is conducted also utilizing the relationship with others across borders.
