Outline:
In Indonesia, the democratization in 1998 caused regional interfaith conflicts and many terrorist explosions such as the 2002 Bali bombing have often occurred for twenty years. These conflicts brought about the more extensive religious disputes and the reproduction of Islamist militant groups. There have been a lot of research on their ideologies and organizations as the backgrounds of regional conflicts and militant groups. On the other hand, not enough research have been conducted for looking back what has become of people and society involved in armed struggle after the conflicts. This workshop will invite two speakers engaged in the activities for the reintegration of families of militant groups for the presentation of their methods, outcomes, and problems.
